Esta Klatzkin is a tax and financial consultant with a practice located in Tarzana, California. She received her formal education from New York University and the New School for Social Research. Her professional career began as a staff accountant. Increasing her capacity to multi-corporate accounts, Ms. Klatzkin worked as a management consultant and tax analyst. As a management engineer, she developed budgeting tools, standards and procedures. With this diversified and successful career, she decided to venture out on her own.
In 1979, she formed Consolidated Accounting Services, Inc. to service small and medium-sized professional practices. She opened her second practice, kNOw TAXES in 1991 to cater to the tax and financial needs of small and home-based businesses. Ms. Klatzkin has been Enrolled to Practice before the Internal Revenue Service since 1980. She is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, the California Society of Enrolled Agents and ORT America. Her name is registered in Strathmore’s Who’s Who and Oxford Who’s Who. kNOw TAXES has received The Best of Tarzana Award for tax preparation and filing for 3 years in a row (2009, 2010, and 2011) from the US Commerce Association.
Ms. Klatzkin has been a seminar presenter and teacher for many years. She has taught at the Community College of Southern Nevada/UNLV and was an ongoing instructor at the Learning Annex in Los Angeles. Ms. Klatzkin has authored the kNOwTAXES Tool Kit. She co-authored with Timothy Brady Driven 4 Profits and The Quick and Simple Recordkeeping System for Truckers.
Since having a niche in the trucking Industry, she is frequently a guest speaker on Sirius Radio's The Lockridge Report.
In her spare time (ha, ha!), she enjoys doing things that start with the letter T -- Travel, Theatre, Tennis, Teaching. So it seems only natural that she became the Tax Technician!
She thinks of herself as a small business person whose goal is to help other small business people get ahead by providing them with the tools and
understanding necessary to compete in today’s marketplace.
Moving into the 21st century has been a challenge for kNOw TAXES. Since the social media blitz, we have had a need for an expert in this arena. Lucky for us, we found Maria Mc Garr, our new IT Manager. Her background allows her to take charge of our new website, keeping current all tax information for our clients, maintaining our blog and overseeing our daily tweets.
After spending many years in various aspects of the transportation and logistics industries, Maria takes on the challenge of constant change that seems to exist only in the U.S. tax system. Her vast experience in all areas of information technology enable her to interact with the many facets of social media and marketing.
Currently a student at Cal State Northridge, Maria enjoys the many aspects of the tax preparation process. She sees kNOw TAXES clients as being savvy and successful entrepreneurs who want to stay well informed to keep more of the money they make.
When able, Maria enjoys being outdoors horseback riding, or indoors reading and cooking. Her versatility is a great asset to our company.

kNOw TAXES has been blessed over the years with staff from all over the world. Representing Africa is our Office Manager for the past 4 years, Vivian Kamwine. From Africa to England to California to kNOw TAXES – what a ride.
Vivian’s diverse experience includes sales, medical, human resources and accounting. Overseeing the running of this busy tax office, Vivian enjoys interacting with our clients as well as assisting in problem solving daily. Administration, purchasing and report preparation as well as scheduling are a big part of her domain.
She earned a bachelors degree in tourism from Canterbury Christ Church University in England and has a tax preparer certificate. Along with her passion of giving our office and clients her best, and enjoying everyone’s great sense of humor, Vivian enjoys traveling and outdoor sports.

Please welcome the newest addition to kNOw TAXES. Entering the world on December 28, 2011, Ethan weighed in at 6 lbs. 10 ounces and is 19 inches long.
Ethan’s main job is to sleep more than 8 hours a day, allowing the staff to sing to him regularly, and “No Crying” during tax season. He has been named “Baby of the Year” by the whole staff.
Just can’t stop loving him!
